I don't know what's more sad; the fact that nobody helped Han, or the fact that somebody pushed him onto the tracks on purpose.

On Monday morning in New York City's subway station, a man was pushed onto the tracks. His name was Ki-Suck Han and he had been pushed on purpose so that he would be hit by the train. There were plenty of bystanders but sadly, nobody helped. Han clung to the wall and helplessly watched the train get closer and closer. The man who pushed him was caught and arrested.
There was a photographer amongst the bystanders who, instead of helping Han, took pictures. He has many excuses about why he didn't help like he was trying to alert the man controling the train with his camera flash and that he was in danger of being pulled onto the tracks with Han. He has a picture of Han that he snapped right before the train hit him that is on the front covers of many newspapers.
I don't know what's more sad; the fact that nobody helped Han, or the fact that somebody pushed him onto the tracks on purpose.

ReplyDeleteI agree that the with you on the last part. I feel really bad for the family of Ki-Suck Han and also for him. I hope that whoever did this to this poor man feels terrible!
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible! This article shows how low our society has become now a days. I hope that people can learn from this and try to make themselves better. I just hope that I, myself, would be able to do the right thing in this situation.
ReplyDeleteThis is very sad topic. Its even more terrible that no one whould help him. I think that if something like would to happen again i hope someone whould do something about it.
